Course Fees

1. Fees paid are for the current academic year only; this will neither be carried forward nor kept on hold, refunded or transferred under any circumstances.
2. All the amount is payable on/before the first session of the course relevant. Class will discontinue if the payment is still pending by third session.
3. Any payment made online, a screenshot of the same has to be sent to the class. Any payment made by cash, kindly collect receipt for the same from class within 7 days.

Leave of Absence, Holidays and Vacation

1. Parents need to inform the teacher prior if the student is going to be absent, reach late for class or leave early from class.
2. Only with this prior information, class will be covered up or else the missed session will be considered as lapsed.
3. If the teacher is absent due to an emergency, the class will be carried forward.
4. Public holidays falling on the day of your class will be considered as conducted. Please refer to the official holiday list below
  • Public Holidays.
  • One month of Summer Break.
  • 20 days of Diwali Break.
  • 20 days of Christmas and New year’s.
  • Final Exam Break

Curriculum & Syllabus

1. Being a practical study field, student is expected to dedicate few hours of the week for class work and homework.
2. Students will not be allowed to attend class without their complete homework/submissions unless an emergency which is communicated to the class.
3. This is a group class/session/workshop. We do not provide any one to one training/teaching at home or at the studio.
4. This course is a mix of physical (in-person), synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded) sessions.

5. Learning Outcomes: The primary goal of this program is to provide an educational experience that allows students the opportunity to focus on a passion, reflect on contemporary circumstances, and experience the pursuit of art and design topics in depth. This experience will help students as they learn to be self-motivated, nimble, creative and critical thinkers.

6. Aim is to achieve the following however, each student has a different learning ability. The final outcomes can vary as per the potential of the student. We do not guarantee or claim specific outcomes or results.
  • A strong understanding of foundational principles in drawing and design
  • Knowledge of contemporary thinking in art and design
  • An understanding of art and design processes, such as iteration, materials exploration, and relationships between concepts and form
  • Ability to use visual language to express ideas and give critical feedback to others
  • Ability to work in productive relationships with a diverse community of others, including collaboration with instructors and peers
  • Ability to manage personal time and be self-motivated in planning and executing work
  • A body of work including concepts, sketches and finished pieces that may be included in and/or can inform your college application portfolio.
7. Urmi’s Art Forum has rights on their student’s intellectual property created during the duration of the course.
8. You authorise Urmi’s Art Forum to use your/your ward’s (in case of minor) name, artwork and/or your/their photograph, images on our website, social media platforms or on any promotional material including digital as well as paperback.
9. If student posts or shares any of their artwork completed during the course duration, by any means including videos, URLs, links, websites Urmi’s Art Forum must be tagged.
10. Students are not allowed to record, transfer, forward any class data through any mediums. Class data includes artwork created/learnt, theory material, artwork displayed in studio, art results displayed in class and any other data that Urmi’s Art forum deems as class data.

Critical Guidelines for Parents & Students

1. Aim is to achieve the following however, each student has a different learning ability. The final outcomes can vary as per the potential of the student. We do not guarantee or claim specific outcomes or results.
  • Schedule a timetable for the homework.
  • Encourage by appreciating your child’s work done during class.
  • Do not be a critic; let the professionals handle it during class.
  • Take interest by reminding your child about homework, asking about what they learnt and what they liked the most in the subject.
2. Do not advise the teacher on their teaching methodology.
3. Students are not allowed to record, transfer, forward any class data through any mediums. Class data includes artwork created/learnt, theory material, artwork displayed in studio, art results displayed in class and any other data that Urmi’s Art forum deems as class data.
4. If there is any concern or query or dispute, please write to us or send us an email.
5. Check the relevant WhatsApp group regularly for any instructions and be prepared accordingly.
6. Urmi’s Art Forum is not responsible for the following
  • Incorrect personal information filled in the Entrance Exam form by the student as the ID and password will only be with the students and parents to avoid misuse.
  • Procedures and updates post declaration of results of the entrance exam for admission. (E.g. submission of original hard copies of the required documents at the ARC/ University / College/ Institution of Art /Design, Authenticity of the submitted documents, any payments made to the University / College/ Institution of Art /Design, Follow ups on Waiting list, Cap rounds and Counselling rounds as all the information will be sent to you on your registered ID / Email /Contact Number which you submit while filling up the Entrance Exam form of the University / College/ Institution of Art /Design).

Technology Requirements

  • Computer or Laptop (not small devices) and high-speed internet connection while at home.
  • Test all technology before class commences.
  • Do not have an animated or otherwise distracting/offensive virtual background
  • Be sure you are visible on camera with adequate lighting all the time
  • Mute your audio to start the meeting and when you are not speaking.
  • If you turn off your video, please reach out to the instructor before the class meeting.
  • Don’t work on other tasks (like checking email, watching streaming services) during the virtual meeting.
  • Try not to interrupt other people when they’re speaking. Use the hand raise function.
  • Limit informal private chat with others in the class during the meeting.
  • Do not give another person your email or learning-platform/ exam username or password or request that someone else log into your account to perform any action in your stead.
