Exam Structure
The NIFT Entrance Exam comprises different sections, each designed to assess specific skills and aptitudes for a career in fashion. They are as follows:
- General Ability Test (GAT): GAT evaluates your quantitative ability, communication ability, English comprehension, analytical ability, and general knowledge. It’s important for both undergraduate and postgraduate aspirants.
- Creative Ability Test (CAT): CAT focuses on grading your creativity. Here, you must demonstrate your ability to present unique ideas and think out of the box.
- Situation Test: For those who clear the written exams, the Situation Test evaluates your material handling and innovative abilities. You’ll be asked to create a model using provided materials, showcasing your creativity and understanding of the properties of materials.
