FAQ s

Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) and Common Entrance Exam (CEED) are entrance exams for IIT colleges' B.Des and M.Des programmes. As the name suggests, UCEED is for undergraduate programs, and CEED is for masters.

For UCEED exam preparation, you should practice sketching, observation, and analytical reasoning. Solve previous year's papers, sample questions, and mock tests regularly to build your time management skills, which will boost your confidence. You could also enrol in UCEED coaching classes, covering everything from start to end.

To apply for UCEED, you must fill a common application form for respective B.Des programmes. These forms are available on the IIT Bombay Admission Portal.

There are multiple courses offered by UCEED, such as product design, Transport Design, Fashion Communication, Interior Architecture and Design, Game Design, Animation VFX, and many more. Students can opt for integrated masters in their third year, specialising in industrial design, communication design, animation design, interaction design, mobility, and vehicle design.

Students who have cleared their Class 12th or equivalent from any recognised board in any stream are eligible to appear for the UCEED Entrance Exam. You can give two attempts but in consecutive years.

After clearing your UCEED or CEED, you should make a portfolio of your work. Ensure that the portfolio has designs that solve some problem and not just an artistic sketch. After the results are declared, aspirants should fill out application forms for their respective IITs.
